Things we learned the Hard Way
WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF REVAMPING THE ENTIRE WEB SITE INCLUDING TECH TIPS
  • Check your cold Tire Pressure before every trip. Most gas stations do not have air hoses capable of high pressures needed. Don't forget to check your spare tire(s) and your tow vehicle.
  • Cover your RV tires when reaching your destination. (Sunlight can prematurely end the life of your tires.)
  • Clean or replace your air filter in your RV every 3 months. (This is the filter used in your air conditioning and heating of your coach.)
  • Clean your filter in your water pump(if you can) every 3 months. DO NOT excessive operate your pump when water is low. Never operate your pump when on city services.
  • Drain your water heater every month. I do this by taking out the anode rod and cleaning it or replacing it if is size of a regular pencil. I use a device called the tank saver to flush excess lime out of the tank.
  • Drain and sanitize your fresh water tank after every trip.
  • Flush your black water tank are each trip. ( I'm lucky I can do this at home since I have a sewer outlet near my 5th Wheel.)
  • Turn off propane during the trip. ( I use some blue ice blocks to keep my frig cool)
  • Walk around your rig look for anything abnormal before taking off. Both of us check this out. Make sure the TV antenna is in transit position. Make sure the roof vents are cranked down. Etc
