is on the Navajo Indian Reservation a mile north of the Junction of AZ 64 and US 89. The Trading Post complex is
an oasis in the painted desert. There is a small grocery store,
a gas station, post office, art gallery, motel, and the trading
post which sells a lot of Indian art and craft items such as pottery,
paintings and weavings. Across Hwy 89 is an RV park where you can
stay to enjoy the town. Yes, you may be able to get a better deal
on certain items from the roadside stands that dot the highway on
the way to the Grand Canyon but this
place has a tremendous selection all under one roof. It definitely
is worth a stop. The Cameron Trading Post is located just south
of the Little Colorado River. The South Rim can be reached via AZ
64 and the North Rim Via US 89, US 89A and AZ 67.
