The Big Island largest city Hilo. It has the only indoor shopping mall and university. It was hit hard in 1946 by a tsunami. This is the wetter side of the island than Kona and the its the county seat. Hilo is different than the dry side of the island. Just to show how big the Island of Hawaii is most residents of Hilo don't frequent the other side of the island they like it just fine where they are. Personally I like both sides of the island as it gives you a different slice of paradise. Welcome to Hilo !
